Answer:

A = 64 pi

or approximately 200.96

Explanation:

The diameter is twice the radius

d = 2r

16 = 2r

Divide by 2

16/2 = 2r/2

8 =r

The area of a circle is

A = pi *r^2

A = pi*(8)^2

= pi *64

Or if we approximate pi as 3.14

A = (3.14) * (64)

A = 200.96
