Store A.
There are 16 ounces in a pound. 16 ounces for $2.40
2.40/16=0.15
Store B.
$1.28/8= 0.16
0.16*16= $2.56
Store C.
$1.08/6= 0.18
0.18*16= $2.88
So the answer is STORE A. Broken down by ounce, store A is the cheapest per ounce.
