The answer is: C. Many people in France wanted him to become a full-time advisor to King Louis XVI.

At that point of time, many French people did not see American scholar in a positive light due to their history in several conflicts.

But, King Louis was really impressed at the inventions and accomplishment that was achieved by Ben Franklin. So He invited Franklin to teach some of his knowledge to the King's advisor.
