1. since PQ and RQ are equal, both 40°
2. i sliced them into right triangle: 40° + other angle should equal 90 so 90 - 40 = 50
3. 50 + 50 = 100°

If this is an isoceles triangle, then A = 100° because m<R must equal 180 which would have <b = 40°
