  1. It is my birthday in June. I would like a book by Charles Dickens.
  2. Do you know what time it is? I have to go soon.
  3. Does your train leave before eight o'clock?
  4. I like dogs, cats, horses, and elephants.
  5. How do I get to the library in Washington?

Rules:

  • Capitalize the first word in each sentence.
  • Capitalize proper nouns (names) and the word "I".
  • Add punctuation at the end of each sentence. Usually, this is a period (full stop), but it may be a question mark, exclamation point, or something else.
  • Add commas between list elements. For example: "dogs, cats, and fish". The last comma is generally optional (called an Oxford comma), so check with your teacher on whether to include it.
  • Make sure separate sentences are marked with punctuation, such as the first period in the first answer.
