Explanation:

Step 1 Write it out

the expression written out is 4 times (1+6u)

Step 2 distribute

Now you distribute

4(1+6u)

4 times 1 is 1

then its 4 times 6u and you get 24u

so your answer is 4+24u and you cant add these two because the 4 doesn't has the same exact variable a the 24 has.
