How will the speed of a sound wave change if the temperature of the medium rises

The speed of the wave increases in hotter mediums. Sound waves need vibration in order to propagate through air (which is generally the medium for sound waves) the more that the particles of the medium vibrate the faster that the sound will propagate.

Hence, at absolute zero there is no sound and no vibration.
