If fruits are vegetables and vegetables are fruits,Then what are the differences and why do both natural foods have such different names if they all almost have seeds(Besides carrots,Lettuce and any other leaf product)?

fruit is the product of the plant, like how apples grow on trees, and vegetables are parts of the plant like how carrots are the roots, celery is the stem, lettuce is the leaf
