A proper outline needs to include a very quick introduction to a story. It is NOT a full summary of the story a reader is about to read. It just includes some important details. Like for example, Have you ever had a dog? Well, this story will tell explain exactly what the reality of having a dog is. Your outline doesn't have to be very long either :)
