Explanation:

I started your problem by simply adding all of the hours up.

However, if you're like me, then you might not have a calculator that can work with fractions at hand right now or be able to add them up without second-guessing yourself on your own.

So, if you run into this problem then you can take the fraction part of the problem and just work it like a division problem.

3/4 = .75

1/4 = .25

Then, you can take the respective decimals, and bring them back to their whole number.

5.75

4.75

2.25

6.75

Then just add them all up:

5.75+4.75+2.25+6.75= 19.5

Now, if you need to revert it back to a fraction it could get tricky again. Luckily, this time we got an easy one! .5 which equals 1/2.

So, your answer would be 19 and 1/2.
