=54(2/3)^(n-1)

Explanation:

Given that a ball is bounced and get up and again hits the ground and bounces up, and so on.

The first height after first hit = 54 inches

Next second peak = 36 inches

III peak = 24 inches

The second peak is 2/3 of first height

and third peak is 2/3 of second height

Thus there is a pattern of geometric sequences such that each peak is 23 of initial peak

IN general nth peak = 54(2/3)^(n-1)
