Answer:

sqrt(1/2x+6) = h^-1 (x)

Explanation:

To find the inverse, we exchange x and y and then solve for y

y = 2x^2 -12

Exchange x and y

x = 2y^2 -12

Solve of y

Add 12 to each side

x+12 = 2y^2

Divide by 2

(x+12) /2 = 2y^2/2

(x+12)/2 =y^2

1/2 x+6 = y^2

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(1/2x+6) = sqrt(y^2)

sqrt(1/2x+6) = y

This is the inverse
