The equation (x+4)(x-5) simplified would be; x 2 − x − 20

You would expand the polynomial by using the FOIL method.

Step by step:

= (x+4)(x+−5)

= (x)(x)+(x)(−5)+(4)(x)+(4)(−5)

= x2−5x+4x−20

= x2−x−20

Hope I could help! :)
