Add equation 1 and 2 to remove 6x. You will end up with

8y = 40
By solving, y=5

Sub 5 into any equation

6x + 4(5) = 32
By solving, x=2
The ordered pair is (2,5)

Answer:

Its the third choice:

(2, 5).

Explanation:

6x + 4y = 32

-6x + 4y = 8 Adding the 2 equations:

0 + 8y = 40

8y = 40

y = 5

Now substitute for y in the first equation:

6x + 4(5) = 32

6x = 32 - 20 = 12

x = 2.
