Answer:

slope = 1/2

Explanation:

Given points are :

(-4,-8) and (-18,-10)

Slope is defined as steepness of a line.

The formula to find slope is :

Slope = m= y₂ - y₁ / x₂ - x₁

putting above values in formula to find slope,we get

Slope = -10 - (-8) / -8 - (-4)

Slope = -10+8 / -8 +4

Slope = -2 / -4

Slope = 1/2 which is the answer.

Answer:

Slope of line =
(1)/(7)

Explanation:

We have given two points,

(-4 ,-8) and ( - 18 , -10)

We need to find the slope of line passing through these two points.

i.e slope of line =
(y_(2) - y_(1)  )/(x_(2) - x_(1)  )

Here y₂ = -10 , y₁ = -8 , x₂ = -18 and x₁ = -4

Hence,

slope of line =
(-10 - (-8)  )/(-18 - (-4)  ) =
(-2)/(-14)

Slope of line =
(1)/(7)
