ART are medications that treat HIV. The drugs do not kill or cure the virus. However, when taken in combination they can prevent the growth of the virus. ... Antiretroviral drugs are referred to as ARV...

So in other words, it dose not kill or cure it but lowering the risks is the conclusion i got, taking it in combination with something else can do just that but just using Art medications alone will not help lower risks.
