Almost of the mass of the human body is made up of just six elements.

Oxygen 65%
Carbon 18%
Hydrogen 10%
Nitrogen 3%
Calcium 1.5%
Phosphorus 1.0%
Find the mass of each element in an human body with a mass of 60 kg.

Explanation:

To solve each of these all you have to do is multiply 60kg which is the whole mass of a human body times the percentage so..

Oxygen = (0.65)(60) = 39kg

Carbon = (0.18)(60) = 10.8kg

Hydrogen = (0.10)(60) = 6

Nitrogen = (0.03)(60) = 1.8kg

Calcium = (0.015)(60) = 0.9kg

Phosphorus = (0.01)(60) = 0.6kg


These numbers dont exactly add up to 60 because the percentages gives dont add up to 100%, but this is how to do it.
