Answer:

(13)/(20) part of the flower pot is painted either teal or yellow.

Explanation:

Let, the total part of the flower pot painted = x.

It is given that,

Part of the total painted teal =
(2x)/(5)

Part of the total painted yellow =
(x)/(4)

Part of the total painted white =
x-(2x)/(5)-(x)/(4) =
(7x)/(20)

Thus, the fraction of the flower pot painted either teal or yellow is given by,

Fraction =
(Teal+Yellow)/(Total)

i.e. Fraction =
((2x)/(5)+(x)/(4))/(x)

i.e. Fraction =
((8x+5x)/(20))/(x)

i.e. Fraction =
((13x)/(20))/(x)

i.e. Fraction =
(13)/(20)

Hence,
(13)/(20) part of the flower pot is painted either teal or yellow.
