An animal shelter has 21 puppies. If the puppies are 28% of the total dogs and cat population how many dogs and cats are in the animal shelter

Answer:

total puppy = 21(28percent)

we know

total puppy percent=total puppy/total animal×100

28=21/total animal×100

28=2100/total animal

28×total animal=2100

total animal =2100/28

total animal=75

now

total cat and dog populations=75-21

=54
