The Shaduf is a hand operated device that helped people get water from lakes or rivers. The Shaduf is made with a long pole that is hung by rope or string that is situated on stand. The pole will have the skin or bucket on one end and a counterweight on the other end to help aid with the weight of the water.
The Inclined Plane is a ramp that is tilted slightly with a flat surface that can help carry heavy loads easier upwards. The inclined plane can also be used to slowly lower heavy loads to avoid breakage of the load.
