Answer:

The required Real word Problem,

The California city is mapped on a coordinate graph with the origin being at Golden Gate Bridge. The DisneyLand is located at the point (-9, 3) and the Big Sur is located at (1, 3). Find the Distance between DisneyLand and Big Sur? Also find how far Golden gate bridge from DisneyLand?

Solution,

Given: Coordinate of Golden Gate Bridge = (0,0)

Coordinate of DisneyLand = (-9,3)

Coordinate of Big Sur = (1,3)

We use Distance formula to find Distance between two places.

Distance\:Formula\;=\:√((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2))

Distance\:Between DisneyLand\:and\:Big\,Sur\:=\:√((-9-1)^2+(3-1)^2)\\\\=√((-10)^2+(2)^2)\implies√(100+4)\implies √(104)\implies2√(26)\, unit

Distance\:Between DisneyLand\:\:\:\:and\:\:\:\:Golden\:Gate\:Bridge\:=\:√((-9-0)^2+(3-0)^2)\\\\=√((-9)^2+(3)^2)\implies√(81+9)\implies √(89)\, unit

Distance Between DisneyLand and Big Sur is
2√(26)\:unit and Between DisneyLand and Golden Gate Bridge is
√(89)\:unit
