Answer: Calvin has 13 quarters.

Explanation:

Let Calvin have x quarters.

therefore amount of Calvin = 0.25 x [ 1 quarter = $0.25 ]

Number of dimes for Sara = x

[ Given that number of dimes of Sara = number of quarters of Calvin

Amount of dimes for Sasha = 0.1x [ 1 dime = $0.1 ]

Amount of Sasha without dime = $1.95 [ given]

total amount of Sasha = 1.95 =+ 0.1x

Since amount of Calvin and Sasha is same therefore

0.25x = 1.95 +0.1x

0.25x -0.1x = 1.95

0.15x = 1.95

x =
(1.95)/(0.15)

x = 13
