Y=k*x^2
6=k*6^2
6=k*36
K=1/6
As 36*1/6=6
K=constant variation
Therefore the constant variation is 1/6

Answer:

The constant of variation is 1/6

Explanation:

If we have direct variation the formula is

y = kx^2

We know that y = and x=6

6 = k*6^2

6 = k*36

Divide each side by 36

6/36 = k36/36

1/6 =k

The constant of variation is 1/6
