M is the midpoint of RQ if RM equals 2x + 5 and MQ equals 4x - 9 what is the length of RQ

2x+5=4x-9. Set them equal since each is from the midpoint.
14=2x
X=7

So RQ = 2(7)+5+4(7)-9 = 19+19 = 38
