Answer: The cost of blueberry pies is $7 and the cost of pumpkin pie is $16.

Explanation:

Let the number of blueberry pies be x

Let the number of pumpkin pies be y

According to question, we have

6x+4y=\$106------------(1)\\6x+3y=\$90--------------(2)

Bring the value of 6x from eq(2) i.e.

6x+3y=\$90\\\\6x=90-3y

And put it in the eq(1), we get,

6x+4y=\$106\\\\90-3y+4y=\$106\\\\90+y=\$106\\\\y=\$106-\$90\\\\y=\$16

and put the value of y in the equation i.e.

6x=90-3y\\\\6x=90-3* 16\\\\6x=90-48\\\\6x=42\\\\x=(42)/(6)=\$7

Hence, the cost of blueberry pies is $7 and the cost of pumpkin pie is $16.
