Need help badly.

A newborn lion cub weights 3 pounds. Each week its weight increases by 5%. Create and graph an exponential function to see the cubs growth.

Thx a ton!

Answer:

y = 3(1.05)^x

Explanation:

The formula for exponential growth is

y= ab^x

where a is the initial value and

b =1 +percentage growth

x = time in weeks

a = 3

b = 1 +.05

y = 3 (1+.05) ^x

y = 3(1.05)^x

Let the number of weeks = X

Weight = 3 * (1+0.05)^x

Weight = 3*(1.05)^x

See picture for the graph:
