Answer: The length of CU is 117 units.

Explanation:

Given: ΔWCD≈ΔWUV

We know that if two triangles are similar, then their corresponding sides are proportional.

(WU)/(WC)=(WV)/(WD)

(36x-1)/(26)=(110)/(20)\\\Rightarrow\ 36x-1=(11)/(2)*26\\\Rightarrow36x-1=143\\\Rightarrow\ 36x=143+1\\\Rightarrow\ 36x=144\\\Rightarrow\ x=4

∴ WU=
36(4)-1=143

Also , WU=WC+CU

⇒CU=WU-WC

⇒CU=143-26=117 units
