Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which the endometrium tissue in the uterus grows outside of the uterus. Even though the tissue is displaced, it still acts normally, meaning it thickens and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Because the tissue is on the outside there is no way for it to exit and it becomes trapped.
