Explanation:

Since the triangles are congruent, the angles are equal

I≅ P

3x+4 = 72-x

Add x to each side

3x+4+x = 72-x+x

4x+4 = 72

Subtract 4 from each side

4x+4-4 = 72-4

4x= 68

Divide by 4

4x/4 = 68/4

x = 17
