Coordinates of P = (-b,0)

Explanation:

Given that a kite is drawn on a cartesian graph. The coordinates are

(0,a) (b,0) , (0,-c) and unknown coordinate for P.

We know that in a kite adjacent sides are equal. Also diagonal cut at right angles with bisecting only one diagonal.

Here we find that the line y axis joining (0,a) and (0,-c) is the perpendicular bisector of the diagonal of x axis joining P and (b,0

Since P lies on x axis, coordinate of P (k,0) for some value k

SInce O is the mid point , we get (0,0) is the mid point of (k,0) and (b,0)

Using mid point formula we find that k =-b.

Hence coordinates of P = (-b,0)
