Answer:

4) Ten Eighths (10/8) or can be made into One and one fourths ( 1 and 1/4)

5) 6 tables x 7 people = 42 people.

6) Four Fifths is greater than One Eighths (4/5 > 1/8)

7) 57 divided by 9 = 6 remainder 3.

8) 37/5 = Seven Two-Fifths (7 2/5)

9) One Eighths is less than to Half (1/8 < 1/2)

10) Eight and Seven Eighths = Seventy-One over Eight. (71/8)

Explanation:

4) Answer: 1 and 1/4 (10/8)

I got this answer by multiplying 1/8 and 10. I multiplied these two by converting the 10 into a fraction, making it 10 over 1 (10/1). Then, I did 1/8 x 10/1 which got me to my final answer of 10/8. (Which I simplified to get 1 and 1/4)

5) Answer: 42 people Its 42 people, since there is 6 tables, and each fits 7 people. This means you had to multiply 6x7 which leads you to 42.

6) Answer: 4/5 is greater than 1/8 To get this answer, I cross multiplied. I found that 4/5 was greater. Then, I checked my work by rounding which got me to find that 4/5 rounded to 1, and 1/8 rounded to 0. 1 is greater than 0.

7) Answer: 6 remainder 3

To get this answer, I divided 57 and 9 to get 6r3.

8) Answer: 7 2/5 ( Seven and Two-fifths) 37/5 can become a mixed number, and you find this out by dividing. I divided 37 and 5 to get 7r2. Then, you realize 7 is your whole, and 2 becomes you numerator. This makes the answer 7 2/5.

9) Answer: 1/8 is less than 1/2 1/8 is less than 1/2 because 1/8 rounds to 0, which is lower than 1/2. This makes you answer simple: 1/8 is less than 1/2.

10) Answer: 8 and 7/8 = to 71/8

I got this answer by multiplying denominator by the whole #, which got me 64. Then I added my numerator to that which led me to 71. Since you keep the denominator the same, my final answer was 71/8.

#5 you would just multiply 7×6
#6 4/5 > 1/8
#8 5 goes into 37 seven times with two left over so, 7 2/5
#9 less
#10 8×8+7 =71/8
