Which is true about the polynomial y^2- 3y +12?

It has 3 terms (y²) and (-3y) and (12), so it's a trinomial.


The degree of a polynomial with 1 variable is the highest exponent...so it has a degree of 2. But if it had more then 1 variable, it would be different.


ANSWER: The polynomial is a trinomial with a degree of 2
