Answer:

2

Explanation:

3^a = 25

3^b = 5

Take the log base 3 on both sides

log3(3^a) = log3(25)

a = log3(25)

Replace 25 with 5^2

a = log3(5^2)

The exponent goes out front log x^y = ylog x

a = 2 log3(5)

Now the second equation

Take the log base 3 on both sides

log3(3^b) = log3(5)

b = log3 (5)

Now divide a/b

a = 2 log3(5)

----------------

b = log3 (5)

The log3(5) cancels

a/b = 2
