Women primarily worked in service industries they continued through the 1930's and they also worked as Clerical workers, teachers, nurses, telephone operators, and domestics largely found work. Children suffered through it all. ... Since children lacked food, they often suffered from no having enough nutriton. Men started to not have jobs to support there families, It got to the point where they had to rely on there wives or children
