[|] Answer [|]

Body

[|] Explanation [|]

Body fossils are the most common types of fossils. This type includes parts of the body / leaf. These parts could be bone fragments (Small or large pieces of bone), trunks, stems, shells, etc.

When examining a leaf or dinosaur fossil, you will see the stem of the leaf and tiny fragments of bone. These pieces of the fossil make up a Body Fossil. For a simpler version, you could just say these are the remains of body parts.

These remains tell us about the object or animal that used to be. We study and examine each piece and create ideas and observations that can help us better understand the past or even future.
