V=IR

it is given that the V₁=3V and V₂=4V.

In a parallel circuit:

  • Voltage is same in each component
  • Sum of the currents equals to the total current that flows.


I_2=I_1+I_3 .... (1)

Equation for first loop is,


V_1=4I_1+3I_2


3=4I_1+3I_2 ..... (2)

Equation for second loop is,


V_2=1I_3+3I_2


4=1I_3+3I_2 ..... (3)

On solving (1), (2) and (3) we get


I_1=0



I_2=1


I_3=1

Therefore the value of currents are
I_1=0A,
I_2=1A and
I_3=1A.
