Final answer:

Kolbenschlag's essay suggests that the Cinderella myth impacts women's roles negatively by promoting passivity and unrealistic expectations in gender dynamics. A thesis statement reflecting this would address the story's cultural influence and be open to challenge and supported by evidence.

Step-by-step explanation:

Madam Kolbenschlag's essay, "Cinderella, the Legend," presents a thesis that examines the cultural and psychological impact of the Cinderella myth on women's roles, suggesting that it perpetuates passive behavior and unrealistic expectations within society's gender dynamics. While the essay is not provided here, a general interpretation of Kolbenschlag's thesis in my own words could be stated as follows: Kolbenschlag argues that the Cinderella story, rooted deep in our cultural consciousness, sets forth a narrative that limits women's roles and fosters a passive acceptance of these constraints. In this context, a working thesis statement is critical as it forms the backbone of an essay, guiding both the direction of the argument and the expectations of the reader. It is a statement that is open to challenge, can be supported with evidence, and directly addresses the primary topic at hand.

Well, firstly, I need to see the essay but in my opinion from what you are saying I think that the title is something to do with the story. So, "Cinderella, the Legend" so, it might be a Legend. It doesn't say The Great Cinderella or something which means the author has a normal feeling about it and doesn't think it's good neithier bad so, the author has a neutral feeling about Cinderella. I hope this helps! ^^
