Answer:

x-intercept: x = 12 → (12, 0)

Explanation:

We must find the equation of a line.

The point-slope form of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

The formula of a slope:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have the points from the table (22, 36) and (27, 54). Substitute:

m=(54-36)/(27-22)=(18)/(5)\\\\y-36=(18)/(5)(x-22)

The x-intercept is for y = 0. Susbtitute:

0-36=(18)/(5)(x-22) multiply both sides by 5

-180=18(x-22) divide both sides by 18

-10=x-22 add 22 to both sides

12=x
