To prove: ΔGFE is similar to ΔGCD.

Proof: Since,
(GF)/(GC)=(1)/(2),

(EF)/(DC)=(1)/(2), therefore


(GF)/(GC)=(GE)/(GD)=(EF)/(DC)

Hence, by transitive property of equality, ΔGFE is similar to ΔGCD.
