if the cylinder has a diameter of 4, then its radius is half that, or 2.

\bf \textit{surface area of a cylinder}\\\\ SA=2\pi r(h+r)~~ \begin{cases} r=radius\\ h=height\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ r=2\\ h=5 \end{cases}\implies SA=2\pi (2)(5+2)\implies SA=4\pi (7) \\\\\\ SA=28\pi \implies SA\approx 87.964594\implies \stackrel{\textit{rounded up}}{SA=88.0}
