y= -5x + 7

Explanation:

y=-5x+4

compare with y=mx+c

m=-5, c=4

the line is parallel to the line y=-5x+4

.°. m=m1

m1= -5

since the point (1,2)is on the line

x1=1, y1=2

the equation of the line is

y-y1=m (x-x1)

y-2= -5 (x-1)

y-2= -5x +5

y= -5x +5 +2

y= -5x +7
