Matthew used the scale below to make a scale drawing of a kite he wants to build. 1/8 on the drawing represents 2 inches.

If Matthew’s drawing is 8 inches long, what should be the length in inches of the kite he wants to build?

Answer: 128 inches of the kite.


Explanation:

Given scale :
(1)/(8) inches in drawing = 2 inches of kite.

if e multiply 8 on the both sides of the equation, we get

Therefore, 1 inch in drawing=
8*2=16\ inches of kite.

If Matthew’s drawing is 8 inches long, then the length in inches of the kite he wants to build=
8*16=128\ inches
