∠EDB is an external angle of ΔADE

• The external angle is equal to the sum of the 2 opposite interior angles

∠EDB = x + 4x = 5x

5x = 3x + 62 ( subtract 2x from both sides )

2x = 62 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 31, hence

3x = 3 × 31 = 93° and 4x = 4 × 31 = 124°
