Its slows weight loss, if you gain more muscle mass you have a larger mass for gravity to act on. Weight is mass X gravity.

It increases the metabolism rate (depending on exercise) weight training puts a large strain of pressure on the joints as yoga and flexibility workouts and cardio relieve pressure but as it says “building muscle we can infer that they are looking to weight training , weight training shreds muscle depending on the diet so it does not slow weight as it increases you’re metabolic rate as you are releasing energy through sweat and things of that nature.
