This table shows the relationship between jars of peanut butter and jars of jelly stocked each week at a camp. The ratio of jars of peanut butter to jars of jelly is constant in each column.

Let p = jars of peanut butter for 35 jars of jelly
Let j = jars of jelly for 42 jars of peanut butter

What is the correct values for p and j?

From the table we find that from the table we find that

Or 7p=6j

Using this we can fill up the missing values

Using the above we find missing value of p as

7p=6(35)

p=30

Similarly when p =42 j is missing

7(42)=6(j)

j=49
