17:7

The second side =3.5cm

So we have x:3.5 = 17:7 where x is the unknown first side

Solve using ratio property to get

3.5(17) = 7x

Or x = 8.5 cm

Perimeter of parallelogram = sum of all sides

= 2(sum of one pair of adjacent sides)

=2(8.5+3.5)

=2(12)

=24 cm
