Answer:

a) 1 in : 6 in

b) P=32 inches

A =60 inches ^2

c) P= 16 ft

A = 15 ft ^2

Explanation:

The drawing is 6 inches tall, while the real flag is 3 ft tall

Change ft to inches

3 ft * 12 inches/1ft = 36 inches

drawing : real life

6 36

Divide each by 6

1 6

The scale is 1 to 6

So for every 1 inch on the drawing, there is 6 inches in real life

b) P= 2(l+w) = 2(10+6) = 2(16) = 32 inches

A = l*w = 10*6 =60 inches ^2

C)

The drawing is 10 inches by 6 inches

Multiply by the scale factor of 6

Real life is 60 inches by 36 inches

Divide by 12 to get back to ft

5ft by 3 ft

P= 2(l+w) = 2(5+3) = 2(8) = 16 ft

A = l*w = 5*3 =15 ft ^2
