Give an example of a collision in real life. Use the law of conservation of energy to describe the transfer of momentum. Be sure and discuss the momentum before and after the collision occurs.

Answer: There are many examples of momentum in day to day life. As two objects collide the energy remains same after collision as it was before collision.

Momentum can be defined as the quantified motion of an object. As soon as two objects collide the energy of the objects combine.

Suppose there are two balls that collide having momentum m 1 and velocity v 1 and another ball with momentum m 2 and velocity v 2 and after collision then total momentum is M V that is equal to the sum of m1 v1 + m2 v2.

This states the total energy before and after collision remains same(MV)
