Pears cost $0.92 per pound and apples cost $1.10 per pound.Mr.Bonilla bought 3.75 pounds of pears and 2.1 pounds of apples.How much did he pay for the pears and apples?

Hello!
In this math equation we need to multiply values together and add the grand total.

So pears are $0.92 and Mr. Bonilla bought 3.75 pounds, therefore we need to multiply 0.92 x 3.75 .
After you multiply those you should get 3.45 which is $3.45.

Next you do the same thing with apples . Multiply 2.1 x 1.10 which equals $2.31

Lastly we add 3.45 + 2.31 which equals $5.76 and that’s the total cost
