It is given that A bacteria population doubles in size every 5 hours. After 5 hours, the sample contains 2,000 bacteria.

and also Y=populations size and x=number of hours.

so at x=0 , Y=1000 and after 5 hours x=5 ,Y=2000. and after 5 more hours

at x=10, Y=4000

so we see that it is doubling every 5 hours i.e. the Equation will be like this


Y=1000*2^(x)

where x= multiple of 5 years.
